Abstract: Some medical aspects of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (literature review). 1.1. Biological effects of low-dose radiation and cardio vascular system. 1. 1.2 The accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the state of the thyroid system 1.3 R – protein, a marker of maladjustment of the body 2. Materials and methods of research. 2.1. Clinical characteristics of the persons surveyed 2.2. Methods of echocardiography 2.3. The study of the thyroid gland 2.4. Determination of R – proteins in blood serum. 3. The results of their research. 3.1. Arterial hypertension in liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant 3.1.1. Morphofunctional cardiac parameters in patients with arterial hypertension, diagnosed in the early stages after the accident. 3.1.2. Morphofunctional cardiac parameters in patients with arterial hypertension, diagnosed in the later stages after the accident 3.2. Functional status and morphological changes of the thyroid gland in the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident. 3.3. Determination results of R – proteins in blood serum in the liquidators 77 3.4. Adaptin in the treatment of arterial hypertension in the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident.

Aim of research: To establish dynamics of arterial hypertension of the liquidators and to find out, on the basis of the retrospective analysis, the status of the thyroid gland and the regulatory R- proteins in the early period after the accident, according to long-term clinical studies of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident.
