Abstract: The invention relates to nuclear technology, especially chemical decontamination of radioactive-contaminated substances from products made of steel, non-ferrous metals and their alloys. Treatment at 20 ~ 95oC for 1 – 24 hours with an aqueous decontaminating solution, containing carboxylic acid, for which acidic wastes of production of caprolactam is used.
